Inn at Buckhorn Cove

Beautiful, clean, perfectly sized rooms about 3 miles south of Mendocino. Absolutely beautiful place and reasonable pricing, quiet when we went in march and would absolutely stay again. Feels like it’s your own little independent cabin. We liked being a bit away from the town and these were the most comfortable hotel beds I’ve ever been in! Thank you !!

Rooms are really nice, view of ocean from the room is amazing

Nice and peaceful location. Clean room. Could see the ocean through the trees which was a bonus since the website never mentioned the view. Could hear the surf when the sliding door was open only periodically disturbed by traffic. We had an issue with someone turning on the gas fireplace several hours before we arrived. I thought the room was on fire when I first opened the door. I had purchased a gift basket to surprise my wife for our anniversary that got completely destroyed by the heat so they said they would credit me for the gift basket. After 2 hours with the door opened and a fan blowing in the room cooled off to a comfortable temperature hence the 4 star rating. After the initial night everything else was perfect.

The inn is secluded, but our room was well stocked with everything that we needed.

Wonderful little cottages looking out over the ocean, just a few minutes out of Mendocino. We stayed for a couple of nights as a stop on a road trip and really enjoyed this place, and the hospitality we received from Anne and Hank. They even left us a card when they heard it was our anniversary! The views are spectacular, the bed is extremely comfortable, and there are only a few cottages on the property, so it was very quiet and relaxing. Mendocino itself is a wonderful little town filled with shops and restaurants. Definitely worth checking out.

Stayed in the Zen Suite for a Family of 3 trip for our Wedding Anniversary. The place was everything we dreamed of and needed for a nice quiet getaway! The room was perfectly laid out and had a beautiful ocean view on a clear day (which all days were clear for us in May). The spa tub was the cherry on top for true relaxing therapy. The kitchenette was also perfect...and we appreciated the full fridge! Many people bring down the reviews due to being located remotely...but this is why we chose this place :)!

This is essential because the inn lacks a front desk for check-in, and the area has limited mobile coverage. The host, Amy, is an absolute lifesaver and incredibly helpful, so reaching out to her is a breeze if you're in need. The bathroom facilities were top-notch, and I couldn't have asked for a more perfect place to unwind. With its excellent amenities and Amy's attentive assistance, I wholeheartedly recommend the Inn at Buckhorn Cove to anyone looking for a memorable stay.
